How to Set Up the HVC Smart EC Fan Controller PRO

Connect your HVC EC fans — Plug your Headwind HVC EC fans into the controller ports using the supplied cables. No separate power adapter is required — the controller draws power directly from the fans.

Position the sensor probe — Mount the integrated probe at canopy level inside your grow space. Accurate placement gives you accurate control.

Select your operating mode — Navigate to Auto Mode via the button interface. For hands-on control, use Manual Mode to set a fixed fan speed directly.

Program your setpoints — Enter target temperature and humidity values, then set minimum and maximum fan speed limits to define the operating range.

Does this controller work with non-Headwind fans?

No. The HVC Smart EC Fan Controller PRO is designed exclusively for Headwind HVC EC fans. It draws power from and communicates directly with those fans — it will not function correctly with other brands.

Can it respond to temperature and humidity at the same time?

Yes. In Auto Mode the controller reads both temperature and humidity simultaneously from the integrated probe and adjusts fan speed to keep conditions within your setpoints — whichever trigger is reached first drives the response.

How many fans can I connect?

Up to four Headwind HVC EC fans can be connected and controlled simultaneously from a single HVC Smart EC Fan Controller PRO.

Does it need a separate power supply?

No. The controller is powered directly through the connected Headwind HVC EC fans — no external power cord or adapter is required. Setup is minimal.

Will I know if a connected fan develops a fault?
