Pairs well with
Everything a plant does above the pot depends on what the roots are doing below it, and that is the part nobody looks at until something goes wrong. Rootzone is Growth Technology's root biostimulant, made in Australia: an additive built on fortified Ascophyllum nodosum seaweed extract, amino acids, fulvic acid, thiamine and potassium, designed to go in with your nutrient for the whole of the plant's life. It is used at a tiny rate, 0.5ml per litre for cuttings and seedlings and 1ml per litre once plants are established, so a small bottle lasts. It is not a feed on its own: Growth Technology says it works best alongside a complete nutrient program. Available in 250ml, 1L, 5L and 20L.

Grower's Tip
- Measure with a syringe. At 0.5–1ml per litre, a splash from the bottle is several times the dose.
- Add it every time you mix nutrient, not as an occasional boost. Growth Technology designs it to run through the plant's whole life cycle.
- Drop to the 0.5ml rate for cuttings and seedlings, and go to 1ml per litre once plants are established.
- It is not a rooting hormone. For striking cuttings, use Clonex gel and CCS first, then bring Rootzone in.
- Keep the bottle in the fridge if you can, and somewhere cool and dark if you cannot. That is Growth Technology's storage direction.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to use nutrients with Rootzone?
Yes. Rootzone is an additive, not a feed. Growth Technology says it works best alongside a complete nutrient program.
How much Rootzone do I use?
0.5ml per litre of water for cuttings and seedlings, and 1ml per litre for juvenile and mature plants, added every time you mix nutrient.
What is in Rootzone?
Fortified Ascophyllum nodosum (a seaweed) extract, amino acids, fulvic acid, thiamine and potassium, as listed on the label.
Is Rootzone a rooting hormone?
No. Growth Technology says it is not specifically formulated for striking cuttings. It does give a 0.5ml per litre rate for cuttings and seedlings, but use Clonex gel to start the roots.
What is the difference between Rootzone and CCS?
CCS is a nutrient for cuttings and seedlings. Rootzone is an additive used with a nutrient for the rest of the plant's life. Growth Technology presents them as a pair.
Can I use Rootzone in potting mix and semi-hydro?
Yes. Growth Technology lists it for hydroponics and for soil or potting mix. Add it to the nutrient you already water with.
Is Rootzone certified organic?
No. Growth Technology describes it as organic-based, built on seaweed extract, amino acids and fulvic acid, but it does not list any organic certification, so we do not sell it as certified.
How should I store Rootzone?
In a cool, dark place, and in the fridge if possible.
